CUSTOM CLIENTS

Consultation

Before the Process Begins: To develop a better grasp of your vision, We sit down together and create a visual or “inspiration.” to find the perfect representation. That will ultimately be the end garment. I will then note of design elements that you’re drawn to (e.g. silhouette, construction details, fabric manipulation, etc.). If you want more customization and/or an original Ontavia Roulette design, The inspiration you provide will serve as a reference for me to conceptualize. I will sketch ideas for you based on the visuals/preferences. After the review and feedback on your favorites, a final sketch will be fleshed out and approved at your consultation!

The Process

In order to complete your design, you and Ontavia Roulette generally meet a minimum of 4 times. A consultation is required, 2 fittings*, and garment delivery.

The Consultation is the first meeting and has several important elements: design finalization, fabric suggestions, measurements, design contract, scheduling fitting and due dates, etc. The client may also request to see work samples at this time.

Fitting 1 is done in using a design sample. This sample is often sewn in an alternative fabric, which allows me to pin and mark the garment freely.

Fitting 2 takes place with the garment in final fabric. Generally, the garment is 60‐75% complete at this time. This fitting is to perfect tailoring.

Garment Delivery is for final try‐on and pick-up.

*Additional fittings may be requested.
